Portrait of Franck Sossavi

Franck Sossavi is a legal associate at Rive Gauche Avocats. He holds the French bar qualification (CAPA) and is awaiting admission to the Paris Bar. He covers the full range of competition and economic law – antitrust, restrictive trading practices, unfair competition, distribution, consumer law and regulation – as well as commercial contracts and litigation.

At the firm, he handles the full range of competition and economic law matters, on both advisory and contentious work: anticompetitive practices and merger control, distribution networks and annual supplier negotiations, Egalim compliance, DGCCRF inspections, and disputes involving restrictive practices, abrupt termination of commercial relationships, disparagement and free-riding.

He gained his early experience at Wilhelm & Associés, in competition and distribution, then at KPMG Avocats, in competition, commercial litigation and regulatory matters, as well as in the investigation services of the French Competition Authority, where he worked on the analysis of antitrust cases and followed ongoing investigations.

He also takes a particular interest in business law in Africa, notably OHADA law.

Alongside his practice, he is writing a PhD on unfair competition at Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, supervised by Professors Emmanuelle Claudel and Bruno Deffains, within the CRED (Centre for Research in Economics and Law).
